Help build Mosque in Columbia, MD


Assalaamualiakum Waramatulahi Wabaraktu:

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Dar al-Taqwa is in urgent need of your support. We need $250,000 to complete this phase of construction so that the masjid will be ready for Ramadan prayers.

We are asking for qard hasan (Islamic loan) of any amount to be paid pack in a minimum of 6 months. We need to keep the construction ongoing in order to keep costs down to a minimum. We are in urgent need of your assistance now!! Please, we are reaching out to you, our community in order to make our masjid a reality.

Im a cytotechnologist.. fresh out of school (so much so that im still in it as we speak finishing up hehe)
i'll be working at Antietam Health Center Hospital. Yeah definitely, im up for meeting and making new friends! =)

oh my God, plz dont scare me even more about htown.. ive heard soo much (aka KKKville????) what gives?? i thought from childhood that it was an ok place.. now i got the heebie jeebies!

gosh girl, what have you gotten yourself into with hagerstown? it's so far up there. i only recall that place from when i was younger and going to summer camps. columbia is a mixed community of desis, arabs, egyptians, afr. americans and whatever is in between. al taqwa has a lil bit of everything.

Sitara: my cousins family lives out there too. I usually just visit. Didnt know it really held that many desis tho. good to know! Im moving to Hagerstown, MD iA for work starting September. if you guys know anyone who needs a female muslim roommate.. let me know!

J.larki- yeah, the columbia community is wonderful. i've been there for eid namaz and one of my cousin's family is out there as well. they have a lot of activities to keep everyone connected and build on that familial feel.

Introdissent- this is for that same masjid, except the house that is currently on the grounds is too small for the growing populace. this mosque is being built right behind it.

Wow this sounds like an interesting project! My khala lives in COlumbia and Im moving back to Maryland.. looking for projects like this.. im not moving back til sept, iA. but i'll give someone a heads up then
