Hey girls would you ever consider a short (shorter) guy than yourself???


I wont lie ive been attracted to shorter men but I dunno sometimes...it depends on the person I guess...right??? HELP me out here!!!

Sam, I've noticed the feisty nature of small people too! As for "He's Just Not That Into You," I never read it, but remembered it after it was mentioned on "Sex and the City." I've seen Dr Phil on Sky and he's surprisingly good :)

LOL Shergaweeya. You know, tall guys may look scary and intimidating but honestly, every really, really tall guy I have met is best described as a friendly giant. Because they are so intimadating to look at, they balance it off by being gentle in personality....its the reason why really tiny people are usually so fiesty.....they make up for their smallness in size by having a huge out-going personality.

about marrying a guy whose shorter than me i would definitley do it but only if hes no more than an inch or inch and a half shorter. other wise it looks retarded.

Khiladi, I"m sure ANYthing that Dr. Phil or Oprah have to say is alot more useful then anything that comes from you yar! ;)........ and about the bollywood films, I"m sure its where you pick up your ishtyle and lines from...hahaha

Oie.....Arzee. Please don't laugh at anything Khiladi says.....you know, we don't want to encourage him or anything. Oh....and even an imaginary plate of biryani is more than you'll ever get from any girl, hahahahaha!!! :P

Ghazala: Definitely the best and really the ONLY thing to do is leave it up to Our Creator. The way I see it, there are 6 Billion people in the world, and only Allah SWT knows which person is best for us, and whome WE are best for, so just pray to Allah to help that guy find you when the time is right, Inshallah. In the meantime....get that book...LOL! Ok, jk, but its not too bad a read.....quite interesting actually.

Hey SAm77- ur right the whole ogling bit can be uncomfy...I feel gross rather than flattered sometimes...im not certain what guys of marriagable age want anymore.. and frankly im done trying to unfold the mystery..Ive left it up to Allah swt and am keeping an open mind...iA
Foxglove-btw almost picked up that book per Oprah but it was sold out :P..I agree with ur Desi/mid eastern pursuer assessment...depends on what level of Chivalry the guy is i guess...

Foxglove.....I like that book, "He's just not that into you"... alot of the stuff in it is common sense, which seems to go out the window for women when they are interested in a guy :P

Salaams Ghazala :) I agree that the ratio of decent men to decent women is depressing, and that it's important for girls to widen our social circles as much as possible to increase the chance of "bumping into" someone special. But from what I've seen, no matter how modern a Desi/Middle Eastern guy claims to be, deep down he will always want to be the pursuer when it comes to courtship (at least in the initial stages).

Some men of other races are happier with girls chasing them, but even then, Western relationship manuals like "He's Not That Into You" claim that these relationships don't last as long as those where the man does the chasing *:

Arzee.......so what if a girl approaches you with a plate of scrumptious biryani.... would that work for you?! And if she's smart she'll say, "Uh uh *pulling the biryani away from you as you try to dig in while she is STILL holding the plate* not until you ask me for my name". LOL!

Sam, Fox, and HJ ...salamz ladies ..you bring up an interesting point....its hard not to actively look speaking from personal exp..it would be nice to be sought..but lets face it the ratio of men to women isnt very kind. Although I beleive Allah had already made pairs, it just seems like one has to make the effort as well. I agree with the balance bit, but the fact of the matter is, I feel it is hard to achieve that balance...seems to be EVERYONES dilemma now..May Allah guide us all, IA ameen.
