1) Can fit into your pockets
2) Easy to use
Disadvantages:
1) Does not work well with cell phones as garbled typed messages from operators can occur
2) Not battery friendly as need to replace it every 3-4 weeks.
3) Occassionally garbled messages can occur when making long-distance calls via relay
