HOAP-collecting donations & need volunteers

So I met up with Akber again. He's basically running all the HOAP efforts here in Los Angeles. They've already finished packing the tents they received over the weekend but still have room in the container to send more supplies.
They've also purchased special order sleeping bags from China ..designed specifically for the tough climate and terrain of Kashmir. They'll be thicker hopefully keep the people warmer and more comfortable. They've managed to collect about $45,000 for the sleeping bags and are short about another $10,000.
These guys are really well organized and well connected here and in Pakistan. Alot of their efforts have been initiated out of their own pockets but obviously they could use all the help they can get.Their family and friends have been involved in social and relief work in Pakistan for years now. The children and young adults they've been helping not only receive an education but are also taught strong morals and character. These kids are awesome and have been working on-site directly with the relief efforts.
Everything HOAP is gathering in terms of donations and supplies is being shipped and given to the people who need it directly. Akber will be going to Orlando, Florida towards the end of the November to see what he can do there as well. He's extremely busy so he may not be able to get back to you.
