well i ended up marrying an IRCer, got divorced and married an emo blogger who I met at a "Naseeb" dinner . Kind of ironic.
I like men who can type 50 + words a minute and stays online 8 hours a day..... there is something sexy about that.

At least I knew what he looked like before dating him.
IRC relationships just never work out especially when you dont see the person. So what it comes down to is that video killed the radio star or in this case the WEBCAM killed IRC.

finished my degree, started working in a high pressure job putting in 8 hour weeks, no irc at work and the laptop broke during the relocation. did not have the time or te enrgy to get on irc, was not online for almost a year, and then when I checked in, most ppl I knew had left or had limited their irc-ing. I checked in off and on but then eventually just stopped going there because the crowd and the atmosphere had completely changed.

Futta sent me a message...his icon face seemed quite apprehensive....wondering why I was looking for him. Futta, I'm just curious! Sounds like something fishy is going on!

Beela - I think you are right...Yoaamir(futtafut) is missing from the list... he must have quit. Someone has to go and get him back.....

I liked the live chat on IRC, as opposed to this one. I enjoyed others' conversations that were going on and putting in my unwanted two cents. I can't harass anyone on here the way I could on IRC.

By the way, who quit? It was at 12 yesterday!

There you go, a quick course in chat forums ;) Now we know!

IRC, AIM, YAHOO MESSENGER, MSN MSGNR, or NASEEB

How does it matter what we use now or what we've moved on to? They are all chat forums and then some.

IRC is a light weight chat program where you are not obliged by ads and spywares unlike other available options now.

In the early chat years, it became a taboo just like anything new is hard to digest by the masses. If you look at it naseeb is way more lame than irc was.

In simple words don't be dissing IRC. *snicker*

I am almost always parked on #chicago on efnet but don't expect me to respond since I'm almost never active.

not just almost addicted. It was TOTAlly an addiction, as sad as that sounds. And then all the messengers came around which, yeah, allowed us to keep in touch with whoever we really wanted to. The End.
