Hyderabadi eh?.. I am hydro all the way..Its really hard to tell who is not hyderabadi in my family tree.. :) so pukka hyderabadi with hao hao pride.

apa khala..u remind me of my childhood friend who had 3 Khalas..and guess wat..they were ..Apa Khala, Apa Jaan, and Apa something..I always had a hard time identifying 'em and always used to mix 'em up :)

okay first thing my name's apakhalla cuz that's what my niece calls me. When she was growing up I was her apa, then they told her that I was actually her khallama so she combined it.. :)Yeh I guess we could be considered royalty. LOL!

really breaktaking... my nana generations back was in the same boat too - they're syed and they were given the name Khan by Nizam. Although my dada's side is said to be pathan... :)

Nabisco Biscuite u'r syed too... good for u... true my nana had Khan in his name but it's said that his father received the Khan title while working for Nizam so not sure if my ammee is khan but it's cool :)

Well..My nana ws the Subedar of Hyd, and my Nana's brother, the Pres of Nizams club for 21 yrs, founder/Chairman of Sultan Uloom Educational Society (MJ Engg. and all those colleges), Chairman Nizam's trust, Pres of the WAQF board..and the Legacy continues.. :)
