Hurricane Katrina - Helpout
I am speechless looking at devastation all around Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. I have my own friends who are affected by this sad event. Also I work in Hotel and saw emotional dilemma people had to face after loosing their houses, jobs and loved-ones.
It is hard to even explain how bad it is. I am not sure that anyone can understand this situation unless they see it with their own eyes. TV news doesn?t even come close to the reality in most of the areas.
So I ask all Muslim brothers and sisters to help out. This kind of situation can happen anytime, to anyone and to any City. Please help out however you can.
I am still surprised why didn?t ISNA update their site asking for help as they did at other tragedies.
Anyways, ISGH (Islamic Association of Greater Houston) ISGH.org) updated their site. They have their account number and Bank information for anyone to help out. Please DO help financially as it is impossible for anyone to help physically at the moment.
From ISGH site:
