I can't read Jazztune's VE

Could a well-connected Naseeber please add Jazztune to their Circle of Friends? Plenty of us can't read his comments, and now I am unable to see what sounds like a very interesting VE: "Single women - Choice or Mistake?" What is the gist of everyone's comments? Cheers...

Women plan Marriage all their waking life. But once it happens: they spend all their time unplanning it. I say let " An optimist see an opportunity in every calamity;a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity"....so what to do?!

Thanks Shazia... These guys are clearly talking about Femi-Nazis as opposed to proper feminists... The brand of feminism which I support actually accentuates compromise, because it promotes women's rights in tandem with benefits to the wider society.

I can't speak for other women, but I would feel sorely lacking if I was deprived of the opportunity to love and nurture a potential life partner. We have to keep our standards pretty high - there is a lot of "chaff" out there who would make poor marriage material. But we are all too familiar with the women who reject an otherwise perfect guy for being an inch too short, or for making less than ?25,000 a year. Don't compromise on the fundamentals, but don't become pedantic either... Above all, ladies should only ask for what they themselves can offer (or the feminine equivalent).

EFFIE: you can make as many pointless comments as you want now. If you still want to

CF: it's turning into a pointless discussion because apparently some people believe that stating an opinion is enough.

So, I hold my hands up. I'm a woman and I'm to blame for the world's ills. It's all my fault. I feel very unburdened now :)

F: the gist of the discussion seems to be that today's women brought up in the midst of feminism and 'empowerment' (which it was suggested should be left to lesbians) need to compromise and don't know how to do that.

This is my favourite quote so far (from a guy called Notsofast - and judging by his comments, you can see that it really isn't fast at all...):

"THAT instinct is missing........in todays so-called enpowered women. Leave feminism out at the door. Give respect and compassion a chance. And be open minded. Dont get all bogged down in the modern day definition of how a women is to be enpowered, in a mans world. Lets just leave it to the lesbians.......shall we!

Ask your Mom, sister, cousins who are married, they will tell who make MOST of the compromises, you dont need me or anybody else to tell you that. Stop being afraid and start playing along. Men today are more flexible than the men of yesterdays, u got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Good luck!"

JAZZTUNE'S VE (and I quote):

The comments of some of the ladies on Shazia's last journal prompted me to post this one. I have gone through a lot of views on naseeb and in real life too in terms of females choosing to stay single cos they feel they havent found the RIGHT MAN. Till date I have not zeroed in on what constitutes the RIGHT or PERFECT man. I personally feel the females of today and specially the muslims have extremely high expectations from their probable life partners. And when they dnt find someone who meets the expectations, they tend to stay single and add to the agonies of their families. Here I wud like to clariy that no muslim parents wud want to see their daughter stay single all her life.
So, the point to be discussed here is, apart from some physically limiting factors are the reasonf given by females for remaining single justified when the Prophet(SAW) himself said.."there is no celibacy in Islam" and clarified it further by saying "Marriage is my tradition who so ever keeps away there from is not from amongst me".

PS: Ladies please dont come wid machetes aiming fr my head.
