I HATE DAVID BECKHAM!


Ok so I had to have a little vent session because I am sick and tired of stupid people who know NOTHING about soccer telling me that Beckham is their favorite player. WTF??? He's a fruitcake and he can't play to save his life. All he's good for is a free kick or a corner kick here and there. God knows you can't count on him to make a PK. I think he needs to drop soccer and go be a model for a gay magazine or something. I know I can't possibly be the only one out there who despises this fool this much. Let's hear it! Feel free to rag on any other player who just pisses you off:)

Zeinab you punk! Don't argue with me on this! He's had a bad season??? SINGULAR??? That fool and all the hype about him is so played out. He's done. He should retire now before he loses his crossing skills. England's new boy toy of soccer is Rooney (FYI I'm not a Rooney fan either). With Rooney being the so-called "greatest player alive", Beckham's out of the picture. Buh bye Becks:)

I agree Beckham has his uses, he's quite handy to have for freekicks & deadball situations but you have to remember he's seen as more than a footballer which is why he's so popular, naturally lots of people who know nothing or very little about football will embrace him and rate him. As to whether he'd make my Dream 11, then I'd say NO but I think he might be worth having him in yr squad if not just for Marketing reasons.

Inthamix, I agree with you about having to take the falls sometimes, but Deco and Rivaldo overdo it. Their role model should be Pele, not Greg Louganis.

... as a player & avid fan, I have to add this: players must on occasion take a dive or 'act' to the ref's otherwise other blatant fouls will be overlooked- which often can decide the game. It's to keep the ref's sharp in calling the contest accurately & consistently.

rivaldo is another rat i must say... and youre right a turkish player was sent off after he "acted" like he was kicked in the face with the ball on purpose... i watched that match and i couldnt believe the referee believed rivaldo... the ball hit him on the side of his knee but he put his hands to his face and dropped to the ground quite dramatically... he even admitted it later on that he was acting... he got fined later on but that didnt help the turkish... whatever amount he got fined is just peanuts for him... it didnt make a difference to him... so here we go... another player i cant stand... rivaldo... but im sure that was kind of obvious in the first sentence...

Sabahalkhair, I def agree with you...Beckham ain't got nothin on Figo's skill. And with the David Beckham Haters village. I would start one, except I'm not a premium member and I'm not about to pay just to trash Beckham:) Hani, that's actually one of the 2 games from WC02 that I missed because my flippin alarm clock was set wrong. But it wouldn't surprise me if that happened bc 1) Rivaldo is known for the dives and 2) Refs are forever hatin on the Muslim players. I need not remind anyone how Morocco got robbed in WC98 from advancing to the second round.

i hate david beckham with a passion.... luis figo is SOOOO much better then him... beckham doesnt even come close... or compare to figo's talent and style... im gonna stop there or else ill keep going on about how much i hate this pretty boy....

Another pet peeve: the divers. My two favorite examples of present and past, Deco & Rivaldo, respectively. I can always ALWAYS count on Deco to take a fall. And it pisses me off bc he just sits there with his hands up waiting for the ref to make a call. In a sport where 9 times out of 10 the call's not gonna go in your favor, GET UP AND GET OVER IT! We know he's not hurt, but he wastes sooo much effing time waiting for the ref to call it when he's not going to, then he takes his sweet time getting up. He did constantly at the Euro Cup and it pissed me off like no other. And Rivaldo. Jeez, if there ever was an example of a cheap dive. WC02 Brazil-England QF. When Brazil won the corner and Beckham kicked the ball to Rivaldo who was taking it. The ball clearly hit his feet and this fool goes and covers his face and takes a dive. AND THE REF CALLS THE FOUL ON BECKHAM! WTF! Ya'll know I hate Beckham (check the JE title, duh) but even I was appalled by that call!

looool, I saw that move.. Roberto Carlos has always gotten on my nerves.. he is going to bring Real down a looot! And Beckham, he married a SPICE GIRL!! What does that say about him??

Another player who pisses me off...ROBERTO CARLOS. I think he's a great player and all but he just gets on my absolute last nerves when he's running alongside the strikers and attacking midfielders. WTF??? You're a DEFENDER! Stick to effing defense! Especially when Madrid's sucks as bad as it does. And the last thing Madrid needs is one of their flippin defenders trying to score a goal.

Well then, this world must be pretty damn blind because Beckham doesn't look good. I don't know about all the other girls in the world, but I'm personally attracted to men that both look like and act like men and Beckham does not fall in that category. Which makes why he's so popular all that more frustrating. Damn you women and gay men of the world who hyped him up so much!

I agree with Inthamix786. The media and the masses are to blame for this unjust appreciation and limelight he gets. Unfortunately we live in this superficial world where good looks wins hearts and empty words goes without actions. When Beckham moved to Real, I read a headline on some magazine stand ?King Beckham set to rule Real?s kingdom!?. What else do you expect from a clueless American to get from this but to consider him Michael Jordon of soccer? BTW over the time different managers have shown respect for Beckham?s discipline and professionalisms while training and off the field. Though for us, the fans, on the field he more looks like running like a fool and a over hyped player. And his is that.
