I HATE GOING BOWLING!!!!!!


I know there is a journal about feet.

But does anyone else get embarressed of those bowling shoes with their foot sizes on the back???

For years I used to get the 9 only because no one would see that Im truly a 10. Being in the double digits is embarressing!!!

Funny thing would be I could barely walk down the lane to throw my ball...... Dont know whats worse - tight shoes or 5 inch heels especially with flat feet...hmmm

Awwwww........I say be proud of your big feet :) at least its proportionate to your height. I"m sure there are girls out htere who have big feet and are short as well......... now that would be brutal!!!! hehe

I've never had that problem. I have extremely narrow feet and I"m a Canadian size 7 1/2 which is kinda nice cuz no problems finding the perfect shoes. Alhamdullilah.

good tips for a loser bowler like myself. i am going bowling with my dept tomorrow night. wonder if they'll have my size shoes.

intelligence...just remember when you are dropping the ball try to drop it in the center of the lane (dont hesitate and pause too long, let it fall smoothly)...and use the arrows as your guide... aim btw the center arrow and the one a little to the right of it...keep your eye on the arrows and the ball will follow...
and STRIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EE!!!

stick with something not too heavy 7 - 8 lb ball.

I'm going bowling with my department at work tonight! Should be fun, well that's what I keep telling myself! I had to pass up on going to a Charity dinner in Mayfair for the Earthquake Appeal because my boss wanted us all to attend... Lucky there was someone at hand to take my ticket off my hands... Will make the most of bowling tonight, even though I'm not very good!

intel - you are correct, the conversion is +2 for UK->US shoe size.

If I wore pants that covered my shoes I'd probably trip over myself while walking down the lane (been there, done that) ..LOL!

Does a UK size 7 make me a US size 9? I've shopped in the US on several occasions and still cant remember!

Salaams Saranakli & co! It is a bit embarassing to have the shoes size on the outside! I suppose it's just so that the people working in the place can pick them off the shelf easily. Why not try wearing longer and wider jeans/pants when you go bowling that cover the back of the shoe so that the other team members don't keep getting reminded of your shoes size?! lol Aww.. I'm a UK size 7 which is ok for my size and height but I've got wide feet so I can't wear all those cute narrow boots and cute shoes, believe me i've tried! lol Though, must say, have bought some lovely shoes recently! hehe

i'm an 11. just think girls, when we get pregnant (inshallah) one day... our feet will grow a size again. lol. so be happy with the size now! :)

there is no pride in 10... believe me!!!!

The worst part is, my feet swell up a lot, so umm i need an 11 at times ---- a lot of bowling alleys dont carry an 11 for women!!!

I'm an American size 10 1/2... Come and bowl here in the UK - I've never seen a bowling alley which prints sizes on the outsides of their shoes. Either that, or flaunt your longer feet with pride ;)
