I made a match!

Hey guys,

So for once in my short but unsuccessful match-making career, I've done it!

The scenario: A work friend arrives at my cubicle huffing and puffing (very heavily pregnant) and starts complaining about how expensive it is to get her basement made. She needs to have it done by the time the baby arrives because she and her husband don't have a spare bedroom.

My moment to shine: I make a call to my other friend's younger brother who is an engineer, but likes to build basements on the side. He agrees to give her a quote.

VOILA! A match made in heaven! Are you guys getting warm fuzzies? I am!

Does anyone else have a success story to share?

No problem Sabila, I'll email it to you again. And trust me, you don't have to be pregnant to enjoy Fudgeos, just pretend they're good for you.

Sonia, so sorry about Saturday. I was in Virginia with the family and kept on losing reception. Would you email your number to me again?

I want fudgeos. And I possibly want to be pregnant so that I don't feel guilty about eating them...

They are like Oreos, but fudgy. More of a kid's cookie, but my pregnant friend re-introduced me to them.

Ifrit: True, instrinsic satisfaction is more valuable than a lifetime of Fudgeos.

Well Ramsey, I was definitely impressed by the reference to kilometres (despite the American spelling)! But it's true that nothing beats a good Cary Grant line.

is it bad to expect a little gratitude for making a match. i did it recently for friends (an act i abhor) and they just took it and ran. no thanks and no phone calls.
