Sshaks: Thanks for the advice, sweetheart, I felt the same but still debating. I saw PimplePopperMD's LV 25, and thought it was soooo cute, I might ask my parents to get it for me on my BD. Farah: Its not hypocritical of u to like leather, after all, the animal is killed for meat...whearas furry animals are not.

perhaps it's hypocritical of me... but I do like leather and suede *:

i justify it because cow leather is soooooooooooo softttttt and i'm like..well, cows are everywhere. they're pretty abundant and they're killed for their meat and stuff so their hides will go to waste if not used properly... so i guess that's why i'm ok with leather... );

I'm one of those PETA lovers... I can't imagine wearing real fur and alligator/snake skin or just anything REAL animal on me... it's like wearing... a dead animal around! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!

i'm sure it must feel nice to you guys... since so many of you are crazy about the "real" thing... but... I just can'get my conscience to accept killing animals for my material pleasure *sniff sniff*

anyways .. I advocate purchasing of knock offs .. who cares if its the real deal or not .. its not like someones going to come up to u and say hey is that real let me see .. and even if they did .. u can just smirk at them and say wouldnt u like to know and walk off ..

but really its kind of bad to pay hundreds for a purse when there are ppl dying of hunger .. i just dont feel right about it that much ..

100 bucks or 200 bucks for shoes is ok .. more then that i cant feel good about the purchase ..

As much as I love a great handbag, the analogy between handbags and pearls cannot be made, I think. Pearls are natural, rare, and luxurious whereas handbags always are man-made, making them to some degree synthetic, with less intrinsic value than pearls, diamonds, gold, and platinum. Handbags do retain value years later, they are a commodity, but not as much as jewels, I think.
