Ibn Taymiyah's answer on Yazid
"Yazid did not order the killing of al-Hussayn, but he did order to stop him from vying over the kingship, but he didn't kill those who killed al-Hussayn, nor did he avenge Hussayn from them, and this was a thing Yazid was condemned for,..."
"It was said to Ahmad ibn Hanbal: 'would hadith be taken from Yazid?' so he said: 'No,..'. Then it was said to him : 'some people say they love Yazid!', so he said: 'does one who believe in Allah and the Last Day love Yazid???' So it was said to him : 'then won't you curse him?' He said: 'when did you see your father cursing anybody??' .
"Never was one of the Hashemites taken as a captive in Islam, whether he was an Alawid or from any other , neither during the reign of Yazid nor in any other, but some Hashemite women were captivated by mushriks and 'People of the Book', like the mushrik Turks took captives among whomever they took as captives when they reached Baghdad; and from the biggest reasons for the captivating of Hashemite women was the aid offered by the Rafidah (to the invaders), (Shia like the Abbasid minister) Ibn al-Alqami and other than him".

It's too bad, I see citings, (in all of these journals), and love to see input from everyone, I listen and read tentatively, only to be disrupted by this type of talk....where everything useful is ignored. I saw nothing offensive in the above citings, or is it ignored because it's by our Sheikh?
