LOL! I have visited Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Brick Lane rocks, but you were smart to choose the place that didn't have any hasslers ;)

i'm from dc, i don't have a representative in congress or the white house. great huh? people in iraq are getting freedoms that i don't have. hehehehee. have you been to the states? i've been to london i was there after my tour in europe in the summer of 2003, i was there right about when you guys hit 100 for the first time in recorded history. ate indian food at brick lane. twas okay. maybe we went into the wrong place, but we picked it cause it was the only place not hassling people to come in. figured that was a good sign.

thanks sir..... rana came to the show in tampa last night, it turned out to be a huge dance party!!!! i played bhangra before we played and got everyone moving, so when we played, they wouldn't be stiff.... then after the show i was playing more of it and it became quite the rage-er. all culminating to a multiple stabbing at the adjacent part of the club having a corrosion o conformity show, so there were cops and camera crews everywhere news.tbo.com travis even did a interview on the local nbc affiliate for a reporter. hehehee. but aside form that it was probably our best crowd since chicago and i think we played one of the best shows we've ever played. it's wierd but tampa is more fun than our hometown for shows.

yeah, i don't think about billy corgan or the pumpkins much at all. bella lea were much better than last time i saw them..... but my bandmates didn't really like them much and thought they had atitudes, but they were super nice to me. one guy is a labelmate of mine, he was like "you're in the cassettes right? on lovitt? i'm in pinebender, we're mates" hehehe bonding. i think my bandmates drank too much last night, they were seeing things, the drummer was really into our music, so was the rest of them. mara was a sweetheart as well, she gave me some headache medicine before the show, i needed it, and it worked!!! ................................... ...

tonight we go to athens, GA... the rest of the shows are on our own, no other band touring with us. i'll miss doris henson, we parted ways with thoughts of fall encounters, but alas, i don't know if it will happen, we'll see. it seems the forests are stirring with activity as the gnomes are gathering to awaken the cassettes again from thier long slumber. fires are being lit and books dusted off..... thecassettes.com

cataract camp have finished thier part of the tour with us, the last few nights have been with doris henson opening for us, they are a really good rock-n-roll band from kansas city. nice guys too. we all went kayaking this morning out in norfolk va. i am soo tired. tonight we are opening for bella lea. they are nice kids too. i wasn't the biggest fan musically the first time i saw them, but hey i didn't like q and not u and d-plan and el guapo at first but all those bands got great later on. so i'm hoping the same has happened for bella lea. this is the last show with doris henson as well, they will be moving on to bigger things like opening for billy corgan for the next MONTH!!!! i hope he doesn't convert them to his wacko religion, hehehehe.

yeah i can't wait to work with him. it was fun opening for death cab, i can only imagine how fun it will be to be in the studio with him. he refused producing some very famous people, i won't mention who, and yet wants to do our album, so i can't wait to work with someone as excited about the next travis album as me.

Your life sounds absolutely incredible. I've never been to Kansas, but if it's anything like our prairies up here, I can understand the slightly weird vibe...

hopefully it will be soon, like october. i'm sitting outside the place we are playing in kansas city right now, last night was awesome!!!!!!!! we played minneapolis and the show was great but more importantly, we went to a party in a warehouse converted to artist spaces and practice spaces for bands and they had one room with a bar set up with instruments and all and had a pick up an instrument and play policy, all jams all night long. well lets say the hellfighters took over for a while, but we jammed as well, no songs, it was soo much fun, i got thrown in with a reggae thing and then i started a house trance thing. we stayed there until 4 in the morning. iu got home at 5 and got up at 9, took a shower, went to get a coffee and came back and the rest of the band was still getting up, then we got in the van and i drove the whole way down here to kansas city, MO. (6.5 HRS) they all slept in the car as i played some josephine baker and noor jehan quietly. its surprising how much the farmland in missouri looks like the farmland in the middle of france. i quite enjoyed the drive. kansas city is kinda wierd guys, anybody live here or been here before? we opened for death cab here in nov., it was wierd then too, but not as wierd since we were in town somewhere, this time we are in a warehousey area. tommorrow is loiusville kentucky, sounds fun right? oh boy.......... hehehehe.
