I'm back!

Dear villagers, I am back from Lebanon. It was an amazing trip. 1 week is never enough though. For some strange reason it was much harder to leave the country (emotionally) this time. I thought it took 3 weeks to get attached to a place/people. sigh. Back to WORK!

sometimes decisions are made for political goals and those who make them don't hesitate to use religion as a tool sad but true.

wow, i leave for 2 days without checking the site and already 2 pages are full on this JE!!!

ramadan mubarak to all! we fasted on tusday, that's today, in lebanon....but again, not everyone did!!! i mean, why do we have technology?! can't we use it to figure out the exact whatever they figure out about the moon!!! instead of having eid on different days!!!

anyhow, T3mah, personally i have never tried any of chef ramzi's recipes, but from his tv show i don't like him....sorry!! i tend to go more with tried out recipes...or recipes i watch on tv, but mostly i like to cook wierd stuff, not "yakni"....maybe because i don't eat many of them and i don't like the rest which i do eat!! :)

the sad thing is in countries like Lebanon and Iraq shi3a and Sunni start ramadan on different days and their scholars announce ramadan on different days so you have ppl celebrating eid on different days.

What's one day to 29/30 days????I don't get it either ya Sura wallah. How come 2 close countires like Saudi and Oman disagree on seeing the moon???does each country has it's own moon????if one saw the moon then there is a moon????am I right?

I know one thing; most ppl would like to fast one day later cause they don't like to fast longer ramadan. If you think about it, the same problem happens with which day to finish ramdan so ppl would rather fast a day more at the end than earlier dependig on when eid is announced.
Makes sense! hum....

you know what...i never knew why the associations argue about when to start...i honestly don't get it....don't they think that god will still accept it if you start on the "wrong time" he knows everything...he knows our intentions......i just don't get it
