I'm thinking about studying pharmacy...

I'm not sure what I would like to do in my life and was wondering if anyone could answer some of my questions. I am planning on attending long island university in Brooklyn. I have been debating whether I should study pharmacy or not. I am not sure what to expect, and I am afraid that I will start studying this and ending up changing my mind...is this a good feild to get into? How are the classes like? I am very good with people and I am sure I would be a great pharmacist. I am just more worried about the classes that I will be taking. I am up for the challenge. Just let me know guys, thanks :)

Thanks so much..I have decided to get into it and see what happens. I can handle the classes I think, I do expect it to be somewhat difficult, but I'm sure it's all worth it when I get that degree :) thanks again for all your help.

noura:

a really good idea would be to go and see what a pharmacist does. i suggest you visit a community pharmacy such as rite aid or walgreens. then visit a hospital pharmacy and see what a clinical pharmacist does.
the great thing about pharmacy is that its great for a woman. you can work part time and you can work short hours if you like. you can also get into the business side or research side by working with pharmaceutical companies.

i've worked in community and now work in hospital, so you can ask me about anything you like :) as for the courses i am not sure what its like in the states...but i believe you have to do your undergrad in sciences, so if you change your mind you can still use your undergrad degree to apply to something else :) i think :)
