Incest (for open minded ppl)

Let me warn ahead of time, please do not read ahead if you cannot give this question a fair shot. This question has bothered me for a life time, and i thought perhaps someone will have better knowledge than me, so here it goes.

God created man (adam) and woman (eve) as the first couple on earth. They were a lovely couple and had a full family with kids.

How did the generation expanded (as it was one big happy family)? Are we all children of Incest?

Omar, if we start to consider the religion as the answer to chicken and egg question, then there is no answer. But when i posted the question the intention was to unravel the big plan behind the screen, to learn more about life. If God has created all of the beings, then their guidance is also part of his job (or if i rephrase, has to justify the title JUST). So if the people, communities, colonies developed this sense of anti-incest by themselves and not through the abstract guidance, then one has to think that Darwin might not be wrong.

To populate earth, since Adam and Eve were the first pair to start, they had a boy in the morning and girl in the evening, and so it was no choice BUT incest. However as the generation proceeds, Incest was slowly aborted.

In following up from Qatiq's comments and Ok's responses, there were many more than 4 kids born to them, so we are NOT merely children of the murderer, and also the kids were born in pairs each time, and they were not to marry their own twin. That was the way it was meant to be, and its where we've come from. Those (like Jp) who think they decended from apes are welcome to their own beliefs. Just be sure to speak for yourself.. cause you sure as heck ain't speaking for everyone.. ;-)

correct. Incest is not only a taboo socially but religiously as well. The question to answer would be, did the culture adopt it first or the guidance from the skies came first?

understandable! omar, now another auspect of the same issue becomes that of the creator. As in Islam God is the most knowledgeable, thus knowing the future. It wouldnt have been any dificulty for him to create multiple couples so there is no close bonding / relationship between brothers and sisters. But still he didn't. So would i be sane to say that it was just another one of his stunts that he pulled, "because i said so" kind of. cause i understand that the 3 of the major religions are no older than 3000 years, but man has been around severl hundred thousand years. So thoughout that time, the DNA, the genetic composition, the family bonding, the hierarchical structure, .... were of no value / importance to reveil a bit early to have the stoppage done. Its just mind boggling to me. because when it come to me i always start with "why" instead of "why not".

Well keeping in view that there were only one family it had to be expanded in this way. offcourse it is forbidden now.

and we are all from adam and eve.. since they were the first humans.. and God's initial human creations...i refuse to believe that fish and ape theory.. it's more degrading

Erm.. read up in the Quran and you'll realise Adam and Eve had 4 kids (at least).. two male, two female.. .(bear in mind I have got the following from google, from a non muslim site): the two sons Kabil and Abil (Cain and Abel) quarrelled over Kabil's twin sister whom Adam had given to Abil as his wife. God had commanded Adam: "No son of yours shall marry his own twin sister." The brothers had to marry the other's twin sister. Abil was willing to give his own twin sister to Kabil, but the Kabil was not prepared to return the favour...they quarreled, one killed the other................... and I think the assumption is the race grew from the survivors......... also this was before the Quran was revealed.. Surah an Nisa (v 23) wouldn't yet have applied.. '23: Forbidden to you in marriage are: Your mothers, Your daughters, Your sisters , Your father's sisters, Your mother's sisters, Your brother's daughters, Your sister's daughters, Your foster mothers, Your foster sisters, Mothers of your wives'.
