Independance Day


Do you celebrate the Fourth of July? I've found that some people think it is haraam to celebrate the Fourth. I don't personally agree unless the reason is because, we're not supposed to celebrate anything except Eids. So do you celebrate and what do you think of this "Haraamifying" of holidays that aren't religious?

Okay, since I have to talk to myself I'll also complain about how my community got in my Mom's face about Thanksgiving! One year my mom had a community dinner taht coincided with Tday and the community had a fit. She said it had nothing to do with Tday but even if it did there's nothing wrong with Tday. I got so pissed at our community.
