Islam is not enough
Many people claim that Islam is all we need, weather for politics, state, economy but for must of all: Marriage.
This mentality could work about 1000 years ago, but you can't manage a State by a word says "Islam" since Islam itself didn't come with a political system, other than the fundamental idea of "Democracy" or what it calls "Shora", but other than that, Islam is too smart to freeze the nation in one political form, since Allah knows that societies change and so mentalities, and political systems are changing with time as well, and the only condition that Allah asked us, is to work those systems with the Islamic Law. Even the Islamic law is changeable conduct in its branches, other than what Allah forbid us to do. So, it is not that simple to claim that the Koran is our constitution and the Islam is our religion since there is more than that in real world. Islam came as a support to our minds and our social programs, but it didn't promise us to take care of everything we have, because if Islam took that role, then our minds will be no use, and we will be slaves to this Islam, while the Islam came to fee us and give us the choice.
Now if you mean that about marriage, I would tell you that being a Muslim is not enough reason to marry that person, since marriage needs the following:
- Social equivalent: Since we all know that each society has branches (within the one society) and that not by an economical view only, but also by an intellectual as well, and hence, if we have differences in one society what makes you think that a man from France could agree to live with a woman from Kuwait even if they were Muslims? You see, Islam is also different between nations since each nation effects Islam with its cultural values.
- Mental understanding: Many people are effected with their cultural background, and hence they can agree over the Major topics only (even if they are Muslims) but they can't agree over the daily life style. So therefore, marriage will have too much troubles in this point.
So, I don't think it is that easy to give such a judgment and I personally know an Iraqi woman who was divorced from her Lebanon husband and got an Iraqi man because she can't give manly values to someone other than her Iraqi father's figure, and her husband doesn't give that figure of an Iraqi man (her father or brother) that she understood men by him, or even the society were she grew up at.
And the case is the same for Syrian women who were not happy with their Iraqi men as well, for the same idea.
For that, I don't share the idea of marrying out of my country's women.
