Israelite origin of Afghans???

Assalamu alaikum, one of the most beloved Muslims peoples to me, O Afghans!

Hey brothers, hey sisters: what do you know about what's been said lately (and me finding out as well) that the "10 lost tribes of Israel" were actually found in Afghanistan???? I did have some Afghans (Pashtuns) confirming that already!

Do you also know about that, or what?

Is this what explains your striking resemblence to other Semitic peoples, like us Arabs??

Please fill me in, my interest in Afghanistan and Afghani people has risen even more to what it already is :)

NOTE: I'm not really living in your country right now; that's just a joke meant to hide my 'whereabouts' :D ;)

Please watch your tounge. I saw Alhumdulillah to show that the Ummah is a diverse nation and not just Arab. And anyways who give a damn about Arabs anyways. The Prophet (SAAS) in his last sermon said something like, "An Arab is no better than a non-Arab, and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, except in piety." As much as you would like to believe that there is Arab blood in Afghans, I'm sorry to tell you but there is none. The exists no anthropological evidence to support your claim. And if there is any, please bring it forth. The origins of the Pashtuns and other Afghans has been extablished for centuries via oral traditions and written texts, none of which state anything about Arabs. And the fact that many have Arab last names/use Arabic words stems from the fact that WE ARE MUSLIM. Islam came to the area via Persian Muslims (Khoda is persian for Allah).

While I may not be a scholar on the issue I do know what I am talking about and don't need an Arab TV channel with bareheaded overdone makeup anchorwomen telling me, a Pashtun, what my history is. I have researched my history greatly and spoke directly with elders to learn more about my origins. Infact it was one of my persian relatives (Sheikh Tahir Baba) who helped to bring Islam to the area.

Babyj: you should be ashamed of yourself, talking about Arabs like that!!!! If you're own self's blood has no Arab blood in it, look at your speech, "alhamdulillah"!!! Rid your 'tongue' of our language if you hate us like that!!! Say 'khuda' whatever, not 'alhamdulillah'. But for your information, Aljazeera had a report on Afghans from Arab origin..and they said in front of the camera that they are at least 20% of Afghanistan's population!!! They even carry lastnames like 'Arab'!!! You just don't know what you're talking about, man; not an authority. Stand on the side. Who can help me with my questions here?

Afghans are composed of 8 different races, so you can't just lump them all together and say that all come from one particular origin. As for the Pashtuns, you need to consider things on a tribe by tribe basis. Some tribes have customs/physical looks similar of the Jews, other tribes are said to have Aryan origin, while others are of Persian/Turkish origins. But Alhumdulillah there is not a single drop of Arab blood running in any Afghan. We are our own people.
