Have you ever helped wash the body of a muslim?? If the oppurtunity came and you were asked to help wash the body of another muslim....would you??

Death is a hard thing to face and we are told to think about it and reflect, I think having to wash the body of a dead person is a slap of reality that one day we will all die and we don't know when that time will come. We trule have to make the best of life both physically and islamically.

RAS I am so sorry to hear about your bro.....may Allah swt bless his little soul in peace.

My father had to wash the body of is only son, he was seven. WHen he came out of that room, I dont think I have everseen someone as grief stricken as that, that look till this day follows me. But here is the thing, when we laid him out in the coffin, wrapped up in only a sheet, he looked so peacefull, and calm, I know in my heart he is in Janat, Inshallah.

Will I ever be able to do that???....:(

PEACE looking back i don't think its changed me, although at the time it did feel like i was very close to 'death'...if that make sense *:

i've done it. It was for an old lady who passed away in our community. First time i'd saw a 'dead' body and washed it.

yes I would....no questions asked.

I did couple of times and I have put my name as a volunteer in my local Mosque. Trust me, its the best revival of your Imaan and motivation for staying away from sins.
