Asalaamualaikum everyone,

I am desperately looking for a full-time job in the Chicago area with a decent pay and a future would be good. I just got my BA in political science and gender and women's studies but I'm pretty much willing to train in anything that will pay well. Does anyone know of anything?

Thanks Indy, I already put my stuff up on the website :) Right now, I'm just waiting on people to get back to me. I've finally been getting interview calls so alhamdulillah for that :)

check out the university of chicago job site. there are a lot of jobs for project assistants etc. email me if you have problems finding the site. good luck

I sure hope so Mariam! I forgot I was in this villiage lol. I'm still looking though it might be a bit better now insha Allah. I hopeyou find one as well!

sadia, inshallah I hope u find something soon. UIC has a pretty good career service center, did you talk w/ them? I am not sure if they are just for college of business or what, but do look into that option, they have their own web based server which has a lot of jobs for students from UIC and alumni as well..

walaykum assalaam... also apply at chicagojobs.com and check out the chicago reader (newspaper)... inshallah you find something soon. I am in ur same situation... apply for management positions at retail stores.. they always hire college graduates at entry level positions... then inshallah you can at least have a decent job while searching for ur dream job.. good luck!!

I just wanna add that Sadiya is also an EXCEPTIONAL writer and a super dooper trooper fast reader.. so please do help her find a job. she'll be an asset to any company.
