Khaled Hosseini's new book!

Hi guys. Thought you'd like to know that Khaled Hosseini's DREAMING IN TITANIC CITY, a novel about two women set in Afghanistan, has been sold to Riverhead (the publisher of THE KITE RUNNER) again, for what I'm sure was a HUGE advance. It's pubbing in 2007. More details TK!

After 44 weeks on the NYTimes paperback best seller list, it's still holding onto the #2 spot for the week of 7/24. What a stellar seller! I'm so thrilled for it's success (and not only because we publish it!).

Yes. The film rights were optioned by DreamWorks shortly after the book pubbed. Sam Mendes is slated to direct and David Benioff (author of the 25th Hour, which was later a Spike Lee film; he's also one of our authors) is slated to write the screenplay. The film will release in 2006.

THE KITE RUNNER, by the way, is still on the NY Times paperback bestseller list. It's been on the list for 37 weeks now. The story has resonated so far and wide.
