KIDS

I was in 4th year of medical school when one evening i went out of ma room to get somethin to eat a nice 5 mins walk to the market next to ma campus and on ma way back i found a 4 year old lying on the footpath in torn clothes. he had an infection on the leg and his tibia (leg bone) was visible as all the flesh had been eaten by the infection. i lifted him up in ma arms and ran to A& E but no use he was already dead. the shopkeeper told me later that he was on the footpath for some 8- 10 hrs and no one bothered. imagine a cute beautiful 4-6 yr old dying on the road with hunger. i can never forget his face i wish i cud but i cant. we have kids in this world who die of hunger and trust me they r as beautiful as our own kids. I remembered this coz i recieved an offer by a charity to support a child and his food for 15? a month u can support as many as u like and they will send u the pic of that child as well and child will send u letters and cards too. any one else interested ? wat can we do to make sure all the kids in the world get the food to eat ?

Docali my mum sponsored a kid in pak.. through an orphanage( SOS children's villages i think) .. from age 4 onwards.. and he got to go thru school and train in a vocation.. by the time he left he was equipped to take care of himself.. and all this for a small amount of money each year.. was the kid in your example (which sounds horrible) a beggar/ orphan.. why didn't anyone else see him/ miss him/ pick him up ?
