Kirikou and the Sourceress

I have to tell you about the most marvelous animation...by micheal ocelet. I got it on video recently and i couldnt wait to watch it. The animation is so full of colour and life. The main character is so cute and loveable. Kirikou is like a wonder child, able to talk before birth, smart and wise. He is small but he is brave and daring. Animation fans look out for it. Its well worth watching. Personally i thought it was better than spririted away. The plot reminded me of an old fairytale like Hans Christian Anderson, this kind of thing hasent really been done before. I rate it 4 out of 5.

Well the pic is up now. I love those cute little songs they sing about Kirikou

lol Well naseeb approved, I'd have been shocked had they deemed this pic as 'obscene' in anyway!

Maybe due to osbcene stuff for Naseeb, it would either delay for putting up :).

Oh and my mum watched it with us too! She really enjoyed it as well! Maybe best if you don't watch it infront of your dad though... Some people can be easily offended. I think maybe my dad would be too, well would depend on his mood!

Funny you should say that lol My niece and nephew kept asking 'why aren't they wearing anything' (well the women in the cartoon are dressed from the waist down) and I explained that that's how they dressed in some cultures, but that we are muslim and we cover up. My niece kept saying 'look at that lady, she's got droopy boobies' lol I just said 'well everyone is different!'. The kids were actually very mature about it Mashallah (A)

I love Kirikou, saw it at a cinema in Brussels some years back when it came out. Wonderful animation and storytelling. I particularly liked the way in which the village folk celebrated any small or big thing with song and dance! I've introduced it to my niece and nephew too who loved it!
