salams ) all this talk about idol worship and shirk and takfir is a bit irritating to say the least. I think u'll be hard pressed to find any muslim who worships anyone besides Allah subhanahu wata'la. The prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam himself said "inni WALLAHI maa akhafu un tushrika ba3di" and as Allah has described him, he is "Hareesun 3laykum". He cares about us more than the people accusing us of shirk and he didn't worry about shirk for his ummah.

Now this brings us to the concept of REVERANCE, as salafis seem to accuse people of shirk for having reverance of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam and other noble people. To analyze this, we'll have to go back to the creation of Adam as it will shed light on the existance of two groups in aqeedah since the creation of man. Now when Allah created Adam, he asked the angels to PROSTRATE in front of Adam (who is a creature of god) and they all fell in prostration. The one to refuse was Iblis. He had kibr and considered himself better than Adam and disobeyed the command of Allah. Now there are several points here. First, the angels weren't committing shirk when they prostrated because this was a prostration of reverance and not an act of worshipping Adam. Iblis became an unbeliever because he failed to show reverance to the Prophet of God, not because he didn't believe in Allah. Iblis believes in Allah. This is clear from the quran because he continues to refer to God as "rabbi" (O my lord, grant me a respite until the day they shall be resurrected) (Quran 15: 36).

so from that day there have been two groups. Those who follow the angels and show reverance to the prophets alayhimussalaam and those who follow iblis and have kibr. Now even though the act of prostation is not permissible for the community of Muhammad (salallahu alayhiwasallam), its not because its shirk. Laws change but tenets of beliefs never change. Allah would have never ordered the angels to commit shirk, and even previous communities when the brothers of Yusuf all fell prostrate in front of him (Quran 12: 100)
they were not committing shirk, rather they were showing extreme reverance to the prophets of God. Even in the time of the prophet muhammad salallahu alayhi wasallam, the act of prostration was permissible for animals, trees and all else of creation. This is clear from many narrations that everything would be in prostration in front of him when he walked out. This was out of reverance not worship.
There is barakah even in innanimate objects that came in contact with the prophets (peace be upon them). Believing in this is not shirk either because it is Allah who enobled certain places (like the Ka'aba), times ( like the late hours of the night), and people. Lets look at the Quran for evidence. What did Yusuf (peace be upon him) say to his brothers. "Go with this shirt of mine and lay it on my father's face. He will recover his sight; then bring me your family, all together." (Quran 12: 93) " "when the bearer of glad tidings came he laid it on his face and once more his sight returned to him.." (Quran 12:96). Now, it is clear to everyone that Allah is the one who returned his Ya'qub (alayhissalaam) 's vision and the shirt just had tabarruk. Allah put barakah in it. Even the sahaba they used to rush to collect the water that fell while the prophet peace be upon him was doing wudu, and people would collect his sweat to make the best perfume. These are all acts of love and reverance, not shirk because everyone worships Allah alone and no muslim can seriously deny one of the basics of deen.

So my advice to u all is to have a better opinion of muslims. don't create this false image in ur head that people are committing shirk. they are not. And show some reverance to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam people. Don't follow the path of Iblis.

In the sub-continent, people sing their lives away for one opportunity to go to madinah "ar-rawdah min riyadh al jannah"

wa peace.
Knight.

how can u say i havn't provided relevant proofs when u really just didn't understand my proofs...ur perception is locked in ur wahabi world view and cannot think outside of it....therefore i think i'll stop this discussion...later

well its not about your opinion honestly... its jsut a break down of aqeedah. And to this point. I have provided VALID and REVELANT proofs and you have not done such.....when you are ready , post away and ill respond. Right now I am gonna get into this "Yes and No" game when you dont provide any proofs. When you are ready to debate with facts, let me know.

to make u understand i'd havta take u through a course on logic which i have no intention of doing, so if it makes u feel better, i'll admit ur refutation debased my position...

so you deny that his teacher was ibn khullab? Are you denying basic history which indicates that He learned most of his prior deviated beliefs from Ibn Khullab?

"If you know thie history of Imam Ashari, you will see that his teacher who introduced him to these deviant ideas was ibn khullab. He held the same veiws that asharis have today but he refuted them near the end of his life. He understood that Allah had RISEN above his trone while the asharees say it is metaphorical. Explain that? The Madhabs are not an issue here brother, the Madhabs do not contradict the sunnah, To follow on madhab strictly and do taqleed on them with no speicfic reason is going against Islam."

Yes yes we all know he was a mutazzilite but his separation from that school is a documented fact. And Asharism is the positions articulated by Imam Ashari after his split...also my clear analogy that i was making went right over ur head...lol

anyone here can see that I made my points ..... the hadiths provided in your sunni path article about Dhikr were NO WAY revelant. I proved how they were not. Its funny becuase when I show you, you just respond "no you did not, your comprehension skills are bad, you are a wahabi,"..etc. I never see any proof provided by you. Just copy and pasted articles that are not even sufficient proofs.

This has nothing to do with being real scholars. This has to do with providing proofs. If you feel you can not do that, than go and ask your "shaykhs" and please tell them to provide me with proofs. I know where I stand. The hadiths are very clear to me becuase I take them literally but for you there are thousands of different interpetations in your metaphorical world.

lol thats my point u didn't refute them ur logic is faulty. why do u think i keep bringing up ur comprehension skills?

Login to find out (January 19, 2006 at 10:48pm)
I am talking about your sunni path articles...that are known ignorance. A person with basic knowledge of Islam could easily refute those points as I have done. They are manupilating the words in the hadith but adding their explanations to them. again NO PROOF. Everything is metaphoric to you guys. Nothing is every black and white.

"Because Imam Abu al Hassan Ashari codified an understanding that was already known to the salaf just as the Imams of fiqh codified laws that were already understood by the salaf. If you think the point you mentioned is a valid argument then why don't you apply this same reasoning to the 4 madhabs? They are named after the Imams who codified and systamitized legal understadings that were already present at the time of the salaf. "

If you know thie history of Imam Ashari, you will see that his teacher who introduced him to these deviant ideas was ibn khullab. He held the same veiws that asharis have today but he refuted them near the end of his life. He understood that Allah had RISEN above his trone while the asharees say it is metaphorical. Explain that? The Madhabs are not an issue here brother, the Madhabs do not contradict the sunnah, To follow on madhab strictly and do taqleed on them with no speicfic reason is going against Islam.

"Since he lived during a time when Asharism was already prevalent unless he outright denounces the prevelant creedal system the logical assumption that he himself was an ashari can be made. Also if those quotes you've stated of ibn Hajr truly proved his opposition to the Ashari positions then his contemporaries and scholars that came after him would have classified him amongst the non-Ashari scholars but this isn't the case. In fact the opposite is true, he is considered one of the great Ashari scholars. "

He did go outright against them, He wrote peices that attacked their fundementals. I have provided proofs in the other proofs, seems to me taht you do not know the history of hafiz Ibn Hajar. The scholars do not consider him Asharee, it is asharee propoganda. Ibn Hajar claimed himself he was ont he same understanding of Abu Hanifa who REFUTED the Asharee claims, and affirmed that we take Allahs attributes literally. This point alone proves that Ibn Hajar was not asharee because the asharees do not take the attributes of Allah literally.

"The reason why you believe ibn Hajr is expressing fundamental differences is because again lack of comprehension, a trait that most adherent to the wahabi view share. Your understanding of things in general are at a very superficial and shallow level. Nuanced arguments aren't comprehended by salafis which is why a strict literal approach is adopted."

Again a personal attack on my intellect, and no proof. You may lable me by any title, but the fact remains you have no proofs. As much as you comment, you NEVER provide hadiths or any history for that matter. Its simple, if oyu make the claims, provide the proofs.

if your comprension skills were normal u'd understand that i'm utilizing logical arguments to counter ur view and not textual based arguments. not that textual arguments don't exist but lets face it neither of us are real scholars so it wouldn't be wise to get into a real textually based discussion. did they not teach u reading comprehension in school?

Posting articles all day? what r u talking about? lol now ur just making up stuff...

I love how oyu like to post articles all day..its funny they are soo easily refuted..no evidence in half of them. I love it..if this how sufis defend their beliefs, than so be it, but it does not make sense logically to anyone who is even and entry level student of knowledge.

First of all lame attacks are a sign of defeat,

Secondly "we" meaning the people with the correct Aqeedah of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jammah

Non of them have been refuted, AGAIN I ask you why the Asharees do not take from the man that propogated their aqeedah when he refuted his own belief. A very simple question, but have not gotten a response yet.

Also another simple question, How is it the Asharees claim that Ibn Hajr was an Asharee when he has NEVER claimed to be that? Furthermore how do they claim his when he has written numerous texts refuting the fundemental Asharee beliefs?

Its really not that complicated, may be you can ask your "shaykhs" for the answer, I am desperately waiting to see what the response is.

whose "us"? before you start giving yourself so much literary respect i suggest u fix ur grammar. I know you haven't noticed because your reading comprehension is evidently subpar but your really not breaking anything down. Honestly for the arguments you've raised i would just post some links up but after debating with you numerous times understand that you probably wouldn't understand the material therefore my task is to try to reiterate what was already said but at a very simple level. But what you need to understand is that the points you raised are not original or new ones but issues that have been discussed and refuted.
