Typical of engineers, took what I meant literally, ignoring the big picture. I meant that you guys took the sophistication from us psychologists by formulating refined metaphors such as "pre-allocated quota"

hahah... for taking away "one masr".. ok... lol, everyone has a pre-allocated quota of lazmah-s based on his/her activities here... when she become active again and contribute much intellectual ideas as she used to do before to the viallage, I might add back one more ...umm.. we will see.. either "masr" or may be "mother-rights" lol

Actually in Egypt..because of the increase of psychologists who are relocating back to Egypt, there are places that are accommodating such differences. I know one person personally who was able to complete her post-doc hours in Egypt. I heard it is much appreciated because most psychiatrists there easily prescribe medications left and right without much of any other treatments..which I don't like personally except for extremely severe cases.

And lol for taking away "one masr" from hzma, leh gay 3ala nafsak keda, lol :)

JAK sr. MuslimaEgyptian for the clarification... my confusion was beween clinical Psy. and Psychatry, but u made it clear here.. as i think in Egypt, we don't have psychologists, mostly all of these disorders are handled by psychiatrists.

Sr. Hzma, I took off one "Masr" and added one women-rights lol and it is true by the way....

Excuse me all for going outside the topic..but really quickly..

Psychology is the name of the field..study of the mind/human behavior, etc.

Clinical Psychology: you see people in "clinic" settings....help people manage a variety of problematic behaviors (eating disorders, addictions, suicide, etc.)...research may also be involved....reachable via a doctoral or a Master's level track.

Psychiatry: reached through the medical school track because you can prescribe medications. Most psychiatrists work mostly to administer medications such as anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds., etc.

Only two states so far have granted clinical psychologists the rights to prescribe medications because of the lack of psychiatrists (Louisiana and New Mexico)...other states are following suit..
