I hope the Leafs will do good this year, but still it won't be easy for them this year. They don't really have any effective goal scorers except for Sundin and maybe Allison. Then again, Allison hasn't played a game in almost 2 and half years. There might be some rink rust in him.

This year in the Eastern conference it's anyone's game. Ottawa's good shot at the finals. They've got speed, effectiver goal scorers, and a good defense corp. Pittsburgh can also be the dark horse, especially since MLemieux announced he will be playing. Lemiex, rechi, and Crosby on the offense could be a dangerous line. Philly I think is over rated. Sure they've got Forsberg, but their defense corp is nothing but old oversized slow skaters. I don't see how they can keep up with fast skaters on the open ice. Also their goaltender isn't the greatest.

I'm ahuge leafs, fan I'm pretty confident in them. Not sure about Lindros, but I think Allison will do well for them. I wish they kept Mogilny. They definitely need more wingers. As for the sens...not sure how well they'll do. Getting Heatley was good for them, but Hossa was a big loss, and not sure if Hasek still has it in him.

INolan's not gonna play this year, his salary status is still in dispute. More than likely his contract will get bought out. It's under review by lawyers. Once that issue is dealt with the Leafs will still have over 6 million left in the cap space. Gotta wait and see what happens.

As much of a big Leafs fan that I am, I have to admit, they don't really have an impressive team. That's the cost of the salary cap. Although they are the 2nd richest team in the NHL, the salary cap proved to be their downfall. It'll be a tough season for them no doubt. The team is mediocre. I have a feeling that this year you will see some surprises. With the open ice rule, I think teams with fast skaters and good passers will make the difference.

I live in Ottawa and I've got to say that the Leafs play with heart. The Sens have always been a bucnh of players that have skill. They want to show thier skills to the fans...but unfortunately...they do not play with heart AND Leafs do! Go Leafs Go!!!

Well, they have Jason Allison and Eric Lindros now. Two pretty decent players and both are from Toronto. Actually, i went to school with Jason and he's a pretty good guy as well.
