Lebanese Elections

Guys, there is something very very important happening in Lebanon right now which is the elections. Eventhough most of us live outside, it doesn't mean we can't talk about it. What does everybody think of the war of worlds that is going all over the place? Do you believe what they (politicians) tell us? Let us hear your thoughts!

I am IMBRESSED with the elections... I hope things go fine. Hariri showed a lot of maturity I find.

Listen Lily, I know what you mean...most of the people who won have blood in their hands...but see, they represent a lot of people in Lebanon who view them as their heros! For example, we view Sharoon as a murderer, but his people think he is a hero! We have to realize that there was a war going on, and those leaders were defending their own people. We need to look towards the future and forget the past Lily...this is the only way it will work in Lebanon!

well, with those explosions killing people...i can't be very optimistic...and miky, you seemed pleased with the allies built during the elections..well, i think they're too puzzling! i mean suddenly the "kowwat" are good people, and Michele Oun is too?! give me a break! I speak out of personal experience. see, my room was totally burnt down during the Oun war, my sisters' diplomas and clothes and all they had was gone...so...i really don't know what to make of the current situation.

politics is politics, it is what it is. Basically politians are sales men, they have a product which is themselves and thier background/histry and they sell you on the idea that they are better than other canidates and they will do a better job.

Politics can be fun and at times very frustrating because some sides do not like to play by the rules, but hey, how many sales people do you know that play by the rules :).
