Juan, dont worry, the 911 will treat u right, btw i dunno if u knew this but porsche is ranked higher than Audi, BMW, and Benz, in over all customer satisfaction and build quality. a report in Car & Driver i believe, not too sure, but it was in one of those mags. I have a 01 Boxter with 35K miles on it, have had it for a few months now, been driven almost everyday, and its been a blast so far, so im sure ur 911T will be hella awesome, what color btw?

Juan - I've driven a Ferrari 308, 328 and 348. The 308 by todays standards is a complete disappointment. Teh 328 is much better and the 348 is quite a drive. I've driven a few Porsches and the old ones are a handful. Good luck with the 911T :)

Yep. Imagine having your brake calipers die on the highway. If it were me driving, I wouldnt have cared but when its my wife, its a whole different story.

Some people drive a lot and for them a lease is not the best option. In some states you don't save money on taxes when you lease, you have to pay tax on the purchase price (IL for example).
We paid for our last BMW so yeah for the first three years we only paid for insurance and gas. Things did go wrong and they were fixed under warranty BUT having to go back for minor things is not very convenient. You need to make time to drop your car off at the dealer work out those loaner issues ); We drove our BMW 103K miles in 3.5 years :P (50 mile one way commute) After the first 50K miles, each service was around $900. The brake calipers went out, $1700. There was a problem with the rear suspension, $2300 and some change. Not to mention other minor things.
Our other car was also a European brand. I drove that about 85K miles in 3 years. The warranty expired and every service was at least $500 and when things broke,c an you say "DAMN!!!!". This car was modified so I spent a lot more money on it but anyway the point I am trying to make is when you work really hard for your money , it becomes harder and harder to justify the expense. When I lived on my folks, I didn't care as much but now I care a lot.
I am in a so called Japanese luxury brand (I use to word "Luxury" loosely here) right now and I have to tell you service is dirt cheap. I mean DIRT cheap. I don't think I have spent more than $250 on any service in my 2 years of ownership.
Peace !

BMW offers full service under their warranty, so does audi, and well saab. unless u want to keep your car for more than 4-5 years, then yea best bet would be lexus, but i dont know anyone owning the same car for more than 3-4 yrs. and me personally i lease due to tax benefits. so i dont keep a car more than 2 yrs

What if you grew up driving BMWs and Benzes and
1)Got tired of going to the shop for minor things that should have been caught during the quality control process.

2) Paying ridiculous amount of money for service after the warranty period expired.

duely noted T786, and likewise, and i respect ur opinion, but as for my personal opinion the BMW exudes luxury, MB & BMW are the companies setting the bar, while lexus and infiniti are always cathcing up. i will admit that japanese reliabilty is not comparable, they are the most solid cars built, but as for design, technology, and exuding luxury and BMW is up there, cmon we all grew up dreaming of owning BMW's, Benz's, and Porsche's, not lexus and inifinities.

the is from people i know who have driven it on test tracks (lexus had a test pre launch in chicago) say that the leus is designed for handling,speed,etc....its designed to compete against the 3 seriers bimmer.

as for rice rockets toyota engines have nothing on honda which are modified heavily. hyundai is more of a rice rocket than toyota. i havent heard of anyone tricking out their 1.4L corolla.

anyways id go fro the acura TL for comfort, ride, fun. if i was looking fro a 2 dr ride id go for G35

ooo aaple stock is up- im saving up for a new car

IS350 would be nicer if they offered a manual tranny with that 306-hp engine.

You should all keep in mind the G35 is getting old. A replacement is due out soon. 350Z is nice but a terrible daily driver.

350Z roadster with the 6-speed....hopefully Nissan has fixed the alignment problems plaguing the early Z models.
