Do our profiles depict who we WANT to be versus who we BELIEVE we are?

Some know what is politically correct to say though they may not abide by it themselves. I think the biggest problem is people believe that they are who they hope to be.

Other than one-one chats, emails, phone calls, one may figure out the fallacies by bouncing their profiles with their comments in Villages

Most commonly expressed attributes are I'm confident, secure, caring, open-minded, humble, non-judgemental, spiritual, believe in commitment, know how to treat my man/woman, God-fearing, great cook, love to travel, go to the gym regularly

What one often finds out is that they are insecure, insensitive, arrogant, holier than thou, abusive in relationships, paranoid, two timers, can't take criticism or a joke, threaten differing view points with fear of hell, go to the gym for free donut day.

How does one purge the delusions from the truth?

i was gonna say.. one can do that anyway without fear of being traced....

then remembered a naseeb m8 telling me abt her ex friend.... who stalked/ harrassed some1 (via spam).. and was caught by the police and given a ticking off...

I think the donuts are crying because the have a hole (in their heart) due to deception. In all seriousness, I wish Naseeb can creat an anonymous profile where someone of sinister nature as Human depicted, can freely without fear of being known, can share their consciousness, level of guilt, excitement, etc when they intently look to satisfy their pathetic emptiness at the expense of the innocent.

right irfani, there are divorced people on this site who are posing as single. they have given the word insecurity and dishonesty a new meaning. even the free donuts must be crying in their hands.

Staj so I should put back my pic doing a wheelie on a bike I manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. I actually saw a guy's pic on Naseeb doing a wheelie, but you could not see if it was really him. LOL

ps do any other englanders feel affronted when they use the colour keyword to format responses and it only works if you spell it incorrectly: ie. 'color'... too much yankee favouritism....

Since we are talking about profiles here...you know what bothers me about people's pictures is that they take pictures of themselves with their cars, motorbikes and their houses and post them up...i find that very cheesey and unattractive. I personally could careless what he or she drives or where he or she lives...even the whole smoking thing, why do people take pictures of themselves while they are blowing out the smoke? do they think they look cool...I am so turned off by people like that...that makes them come off very insecure..do you guys feel the same too?

yehbandishain, irfani, don't you think it can be more than that.. people who lie for a living usually know they have flimsy arguments.. but still want to push them..

they know they're wrong, but would like you to acknowledge the superiority of their opinions.. it's a control thing
