Licence ?

I am a future teacher, currently going through my MBA. What i want to know from all you experienced teachers is this: "if a teacher feels that he/she cannot deliver the content of her lecture in its fullest and wants to go alternate routes, e.g. emailing the assignment to sutends, posting it on a private online portal etc... does he/she needs to have a licence or permission from the ISD or the city or state to go about delivering the content, or is it on the teachers discression."

P.S: there could be other reasons to do that e.g some students miss one or the other class, but if the whole content - quizzes - results - assignments etc.. are posted online, the students dont have an excuse to say they missed the class (kind of).

no i am planing to go k-6 to k-12, digital music, digital photographs, digital artists, computers, websites is my passion, so most probably i am going to end up teaching computers or second choice will be mathematics. -?- The reason i asked this question is that i am in the middle fo developing somewhat of a portal, that will allow teachers to do all that on their own. so i needed to know if there are some legal issues that i need to do with that online portal before i put it on public domain.

From your post, it sounds like you're going to teach at a university. Back when I was in uni, my profs posted lecture notes, assignments, our grades, and correct answers to the exams once they had been graded. I don't think you will need a license. But it may be a good idea to figure out what that particular school allows.
