Lost in Japan

I love the film Lost in Translation. One of the over-riding themes is the sense of not belonging and the scene in the lift where Bill Murray is towering over all the native Japanese businessmen just really gets this point over in a sensitive, subtle and amusing way!

Sam77, Oh, so to make someone look taller the camera man needs to be close to the floor... I find that technique only makes the person look as if they have a double chin though! lol

I've met Dustin Hoffman and I can confirm, I'm taller than him. But what a guy! He has amazing presence and when i met him, he had amazing skin too, I wanted to ask him what moisturizer he used...

Our late Prime Minister, Pierre Trudeau was always given the appearance of being exceptionally tall because Camera men would angle their cameras from very low, close to the floor, looking up at him....in reality he was only 5 feet 7.

Befitting pic indeed..

Yeah...I don't think Bill Murray is that tall.....living in London England you quickly discover that ALOT of the celebrities are NOT tall at all......I was very surprised to see that Tom Cruise is quite short!
