Lowering ride height
My convt. do show some body roll in tight turns. Now that one of my friends here has lowered his 330i, I am also thinking of lowering mine.. Has anybody done that here... any suggestions for/against this ?
I should say that san diego has pretty good roads here, but anyways i'll try to add the support bar and see if that makes enough difference. Thanks guys for the input.
Lowering is inadvisable in areas that have rough pavement or roads. If body roll is the issue - your best bet is to get a tower support bar for both the front and rear, which will run you ~250 each. Baviarian auto has some good aftermarket ones.
Shocks and struts will gove you a more agressive ride - but wont counter body roll in turns, unless you drive the 3 under 75 in turns.
awais: how much did you shell out for that ?
spddev: I drove my friends lowered 330i. It was not that bad as far as ride comfort is concerned and it had some good handling. It was night time and I was doing 120 test run when a cop flashed from the opposite lane.. was lucky to escape that :-) because of the divider.
I wanted to lower my old 330ci before I changed my mind because of the worse ride quality. Try e46fanatics.com. those guys go nuts with there bimmers and have a lot of experience with mods.

Hope that helps.
