Macho men of the 21st Century!


OK ladies, answer us guys this one. I personally dont beleive there is a middle ground with this one, just degrees. Are you all looking for someone is sensitive? What about a guy who has a healthy dose of machismo? Some say sensitive, but lets face reality!

IFRIT: no i didn't perceive your comment as bitter... i just happen to disagree;) Any 2 people that come together must do some legitmate compromising w/o changing themselves (at least their core)... and i think any smart woman/man can see through fakeness *i hope*

Chocogurl, I hope my statement didnt seem bitter or whatever. Ive always considered myself a "latent" semi-macho type. Basically I dont take sh** off people. I don't think there is anything to really disagree with. I just think that alot of guys out their change themselve and make themselves into these gooey, drippy, sappy, gooey people to accomodate what they think a woman wants. I was raised in the east asian stoic tradition. some people interpret that as the silent and macho type, others think im snobby. i think people should be who they are. really, the question was intended to generate conversation in the village so THANKS for your response, i appreciate it.

i humbly disagree Ifrit;) there is a gray/fuzzy line that only you as an individual can define what mix of manly man vs sensitivity you seek in a partner... i think its the same for guys... do i want an independent strong woman or a nurturing soft woman... or better yet- some mix of the two?!?

In all honesty, I'm not a fan of macho men or the whole machismo culture. Ew. I'm all about sensitive, intelligent and unassuming guys.
