Madhuri: BACK WITH A BANG


Madhuri Dixit is back in town and she will be back on the screens, the small screen though! The actress is set to perform live on stage at the Filmfare Awards on the 25th of February after almost six years. Her performance will be a tribute to late Parveen Babi. She will prepare for her dance in four days which will be choreographed by none other than Saroj Khan. "I am very excited and am looking forward to meeting all my colleagues after so long", says Madhuri. She is in Mumbai with her sons on a holiday and will be joined by her husband soon.

I also read that Will Smith will be at the Indian FilmFare Awards this time.

Madhuri Dixit dances despite being unwell

at the 51st Fair One Filmfare Award in Mumbai (on February 25) was one of the most talked about performances of the function. But it might not have happened if Aishwarya Rai had not stepped in to offer help.

Madhuri was running a high temperature. During rehearsals, she felt terribly weak. Things got worse since there was no medical store in the vicinity.

When this news of Madhuri's illness reached Aishwarya, who was in another van, she rushed to see Dixit. Aishwarya called her Man Friday to get the medicine from her van.

Few minutes later, Dixit felt better, and the rest as they say, is history.

Who says, actresses only bitch against each other, can't stand each other...

andromeda...besotted to say the least

sofs...i couldnt believe my eyes either....and yess the classical was freakin awesome...especially "dhai shaam rokh lae"....especially since most of the song is in Madhuri's own voice...and yes everything was amazing...her, the dance, the outfit (did you see the back neckline...was that sickness or what?), her expressions...everything....she still got game like no other...and folks she turns 39 this May...

Hey Lubna I agree. I missed most of the filmfare awards because I had to go out but I made it back just in time for the Madhuri performance. She looked soooo AMAZING! She looked HOT! I couldn't believe my eyes when she was dancing. Her out fit was AMAZING! She is by far the BEST dancer to hit any stage. I think after that long gap she proved again to everyone that she still got her game. I love how she did classical dancing because that is the hardest to do. That takes a lot of practice and patience and she did it with amazing grace.

i think saroj khan said it best in the little clips before madhuri's performance...."I've never seen a better dancer than Madhuri...and I probably never will"

i think this performance may take me back into my post-devdas trance...i literally didnt watch a bollywood movie for almost a year after devdas because nothing seemed worthy...

it was sad to see ash try to do kajra re after the madhuri performance...i absolutely love that song and performance but it seemed sooo dull after madhuri's performance...

sofs...that performance was more like...madhuri: back like an atom bomb yaar....cause she freakin blew everyone away (not that I expected any less from her)...you know since the day you posted the news...i kept thinking..why is madhuri doing a parveen tribute...they both were very different in their styles...and i thought to myself...it would be so beautiful if madhuri did a stage performance of her devdas songs because she's never did those on stage...i think they were listening to my heart..madhuri performed all her songs from devdas....homegirl looked better than EVER...she was literally glowing and that smile and charisma of hers....i can literally write a book...but anyways...it was one of the most beautiful moments of life to see madhuri back on stage....

I was just looking at Madhuri's pictures and boy she is really pretty. i think she is 10 times prettier than the new actresses, dont you think so?

when i was in india, some of the shows were behind what i had already seen in the states..

like fame gurukul was running a week late in india..kinda weird?

yeah when i was india this past december...i found out that everything is a week later for us...when i was talking to my dad and he said that he was watching what I had watched the previous week. so im wondering if we are gonna see it this week or maybe next saturday...but im sure if it's airing live on saturday night THEN we will probably see it on SUnday night!!


ooohh no that is a poses a HUGE conflict because Greys Anatomy is on!!!!
