This is so heart-breaking subhanallah. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. Those who were at the mawlid in London had the opportunity to hear his last speech. This is the man whom Habib Ali called the Bab (Door) of Da?wah in the West. So many have come to Islam through his Seerah book and he influenced so many people including Gai Eaton and other luminaries. Subhanallah Allah gave him an easy death in his sleep.

It is with great sadness that we pass on the news that our grandfather in Islam, Martin Lings, has travelled to meet his Creator in the eternity of the next life.
Martin Lings passed away in his sleep last night.
May Allah forgive him and grant him a high place in paradise. Verily, we shall meet again soon. Al Fatiha.
