A Woody Allen film that lacks the typical woodyallen facets of newyork jews, sex anxiety and excessive self analysis.
Allen succeeded in getting his actors to convey an eloquent expression of human subtelties, in looks, body language and concise dialogue.
It's a well crafted materpiece that delves into lust, greed and luck.
the first 40-45 mins may seem slow to some, but are essential for character development. i found the lead actor to have had poor acting skills at first, but i thought he was terrific later on as his character evolved.
u'll love this movie even more if u read doestoevsky's CRIME & PUNISHMENT.
ull also like it if u saw CLOSER.
so much more to say abt this but i'll let those who saw it add some comments.
