Measure of our days

A psalm of David (39) in the old testament reads as follows:

"Tell me, O Lord, what my term is
what is the measure of my days
Man walks about as a mere shadow;
mere futility is his hustle and bustle
What, then, can I count on, O Lord."

If you could, would you wish to know the measure of your days? This is not meant to be a trite question; sincerely, would you wish to know?

no matter what it was, it would freak me out to no end.

and i have some severe issues with predestination.

thats a whole other can of worms though.

would it change my life? no doubt? for the better? i somehow doubt it.

If you knew the measure of your days, do you feel you would know you're raison d'etre?

I think it would make it easier to know, or then again perhaps more difficult, depending on what kind of lease you've been given.

Why do you say "no way"?

our raison d'etre?
isnt that what we would all like to know?

i want to know... but from within myself. I ask myself that a lot... and i think it is good to kind of "keep yourself in check" to make sure there really was good in your day and that you used that precious gift of time wisely. However, I would not want to know from God because it would take a lot out of life and stunt my growth no doubt.
