I am not sure how many got a chance to watch the first semi final between Pierce and Dementieva.
Brutal abuse of rules and questionable ethics. Thats all I have to say about that. Pierce played a good match and beat Dementieva and in my opinion, unfairly.
Back injury and thigh injury and ten minutes of therapy and not even a hint of pain in the next hour of play.
in word of McEnroe, therapist must have had magical hands.

If you have an injury you take the time out. but there have to be signs of injury. Davenport vs williams, you could see the effect of back injury but where was this effect in Pierce's game. You dont even show a sign of ache not even a single limp throughout the match, especially with baseline player like Dementieva. Running the ball down point after point without even a hint of discomfort. Lets hire this therapist, may be she will cure our fast bowlers.
What if it was a final and after 5 minutes a player gets injured and the player isnt allowed to take 10 minute injury time out and so looses the final,what will the crowd think payiung good mone for only 5 minutes of tennis?
Dementieva deserved to win!
