Members in Toronto?


Assalam-o-Alaikum!

I am planning on visiting Toronto between April 14-17 and was wondering if you guys know of any really good Desi or even Arabic restaurants there? Its not like I have not been there before but most of the time I visit I go on short trips and never really find time to explore the cuisines. This time I will have more time so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

To make things relevant to this Village, if there are folks who would be interested in meeting up for dinner and chatting in Urdu....boy that would be Super!

Sam77....thanks so much for the suggestions! I have definitely made a note of them and since I will be there for a few days maybe will try all of the ones you suggested! I actually love hot desi style Chinese food! LOL!!!

BTW..i don't think I'm in Toronto during that time but if I do go to visit my dad during those days, I'll let you know.

Hmmmmm......my dad is in TOronto these days for work so while I was with him in Mississauga he took me out to eat Haka Chinese which is soooo good (basically desified version of Chinese food, ie-HOT, HOT, HOT!!) I heard Bombay Chopsticks is awesome but the one I went to is called Sant 'n Pepper. IT was awesome.

Another place I enjoyed was Iqbal Kebab. Its address is
2 Thorncliffe Park Drive #17 and phone number. (416) 425-7866. THey also have Iqbal groceries right beside it which is an excellent place to shop for all sorts of desi food items. (I buy bundi from there and eat it like its chips :P)
