If you read the book and loved it, chances are you will adore this film too!
I read Memoirs of a Geisha some years ago and although I know for a fact that I loved the book and didnt want it to end, my memory of the story and some of the characters had by now become somewhat sketchy!
I have anticipated watching the film to fill in those gaps that have appeared over time... Seldom does a film live up to a book it's inspired by but this one really brings the story to life, very tender and simply stunning to watch.
