Memorial Day weekend


assalaamulaiakum.

options proposed:
grand canyon (fly into las vegas on fri, spend time, drive to grand canyon the next afternoon and camp out and return for last morning in vegas--hmcq, how does this work for you?)
new hampshire hiking
cape cod day trips
marthas vineyard w/ an overnight(s) stay
bar harbour w/ an overnight(s) stay
Kennebec, Maine -- RAFTING and other outdoor activities
PUERTO RICO :-)

any other ideas? have people made plans already? i know of 3 others who are interested in some/one of the above events so it will be OK if you already have plans and cant change them. for those who dont already have plans, please pipe in.

i think we all should realize that making plans more than 24 hrs prior never pan out. Star - good luck, i'm sure u'll make us all proud :)

c'mon pplz. do we still have no plans for mem day wknd? i need a good excuse to get myself away from my books for 1/2 day. something outdoors. if y'all don't step up, i will seriously just go rollerblading around boston and take pix of all the pretty flowers. come to think of it, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. hmph.

you people and your water sports :-p ok.. so the GC crew will most likely not be going there for the mem weekend--someone wants to stay around to keep an eye on another. just kidding (wink wink)! so i really like the camping/hiking do other things idea. if those who wanted to do a day trip would be able to get up early enough and plan, we could do the rafting in maine (water) and some of us who want to camp can stay over. otherwise, sailing is an option but can someone come up with a package plan or links? lets coordinate!
