Minnesota Fundraiser for Earthquake Victims in Pakistan
Assalam Alaikum,
Date: October 14, 2005 (Friday)
Time: 1800-2100
Venue: Masjid-Al-Rahman, 8910 Old Cedar Road, Bloomington, MN 55425-2049
Map & Directions: mccminnesota.org (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
This will be a potluck event so please bring enough food for you and your family. We will provide drinks & tableware.
We will provide information on some organizations that are participating in the emergency relief effort in Pakistan and it is up to each individual to donate to the organization they prefer, even if it is not listed on our information sheet. We will collect the checks or cash and mail it for you.
The purpose of this event is to come together as a community and show solidarity with the victims of the October 8th earthquake. So please bring along as many people as you can. We encourage you to invite people who are not of Pakistani descent. We have space for about 200 people.
This will also help us assess the amount of funds that the community in Minnesota has donated to the relief effort.
It would also be good if you could RSVP (number of people in your group) for the event so that we can get a head count. RSVP is not required though.
