Missy Elliot, con artist

OK this woman has peaved me off something chronic!!!!!

You pay ?35 for a ticket you expect to se atleast a 90min performance from the star! But NO!

We went to see her on Monday 28th Nov. We had been waiting this event for some time as the original dates were cancelled, I think cos Missy Broke her leg. So we qued for the gig, the line was like 3/4 of a mile long. I'm not joking. It was darn cold as well, so I wasnt very happy.

So finally we get inside, egarly anticipating an artist for whom I have every album, so we wait and wait and wait (was supposed to start at 7) and a late start was expected as at all gigs, but when it got to 9.30 we were throughly annoyed as the support acts were rubbish, and especially bad was Hakim, who came on stage with 6 othe black guys who just waled up and down the stage doing a gangster walk and jive.

Finally she appeared on stage at about 9.55 after the crowd stated booing and hissing. And the performance was good, the dancers were excellent. I was wowed. The middle of the show was interupted with some competition winners singing for 10 min, after which Missy came on stage in a white addidas sweat shirt, jeans and a baseball cap, which were covered in tiny tiny flashing light. It wasnt as tacky as it sounds.

I lost count of the times she said MF. Anyways to cut to the point she suddenly disappeared, bringing the show to an aprupt end and didnt do an encore. Her last words were come to my after party MFs at Hammersmith Palais. Her total performance was 45-50 minutes long, 10 mins of which was the competition winners singing. I was really annoyed.

I wouldnt go again. Don-E at jazz cafe @?15 was much better value and far more enjoyable.

I felt well and truely conned out of my money! I was too annoyed to spend an extra ?15 to go to the after party.

She hobbled around the stage half the time, and when she wasnt hobbling she was on a motorised scooter. For a sec during the show I though poor Missy, but then I remembered that she gets paid mega bucks to be there.
