If i were to choose a place for a mole on the opposite gender, it would have to be slightly above the collar bone, just the ending of the neck. Put a mole there and I am fried, toast, drained, dipped and what not. LOL

Also, I have heard people tell me that "brown people don't need sun block" ... this isn't true at all. brown skin has a natural SPF of 4-5... that isn't a lot. You should use an SPF of at least 15 every day. Sun exposure causes skin damage!

Other things to look out for: Change in color, especially multiple shades of dark brown or black, red, white and blue, change or spreading of color from the edge of the mole into surrounding skin, change in size, especially sudden or continuous enlargement, change in shape, especially development of irregular margins or border, change in elevation, especially sudden elevation of a previously flat mole.
change in the surface texture of a mole, especially scaliness, erosion, oozing, crusting, ulceration, or bleeding, change in the the surrounding skin, especially redness, swelling, or new moles, change in sensation, especially itching, tenderness, or pain.

My dad (the dermatologist) always told me the ABCDs of Moles... you should be happy with your moles and wear them proudly UNLESS: A - Asymmetry (unequal or asymmetric moles are suspicious) B - Border (If the mole's border is irregular or indistinct, it is more likely to be cancerous) C - Color (More than one color or shade within a mole is a suspicious. Some shades of browns, blues, reds, whites, and blacks are all concerning) D - Diameter (Any mole that has a diameter larger than a pencil's eraser (> 6 mm) should be considered suspicious)

i take it you're referring to the mole on you're face....as oppose to the animal called a mole?
