Monday Night Football


After 36 seasons on ABC, MNF comes to a close tonight and ends its unprecedented run on network television, a series finale of sorts if you will.

It will relocate to ESPN starting next season. Probably without Al Michaels and John Madden. Maddens lose won?t be as big as losing Michaels who?s been a staple on that show.

What are you memories of MNF, thoughts, comments?

Madden signed with NBC, to do Sunday Night Football. They havent announced a play-by-play guy yet.

i agree, ESPN needs to keep those clowns away from MNF. I certainly don't want to see it getting destroyed. It won't take too long for ppl to quit watching.

Monday Night Football on ABC started with NY Jets losing 31-21 to Cleveland Browns and it ends with NY Jets losing 31-21 to New England Patriots.

I kind of liked Dennis Miller's excessive abuse of English adjectives like there was no tomorrow.

Al Michaels has opted for a contract with ESPN to continue as the MNF play-by-play announcer through 2013. Plans are for Michaels to be teamed with Joe Theismann on the Monday night telecasts.

The third guy your referring to is Mike Patrick. I'd have to agree, I dont think it gets any worse then these guys, and trust me when I say that.

HAHAHAH!!!! Yo. Paul Maguire, Joe Thiesman, and I forget the 3rd guy have to be the funniest commentators! I swear, some of those games are so unwatchable and the only reason I watch is to hear Theisman and Maguire say stupid shyt. Its a given that every time there is a challenge and one of those guys guesses which way the call will go, it goes the other way! Plus they say so much dumb shyt that you just have to sit back and be like damn, how do these guys still have jobs??? Thats what you end up like after taking a beating for 15 years as an NFL player! But I believe they are taking over MNF next season.

i sure hope they don't use those three espn clowns who do the commentating on Sunday Night Football. they've gotta be the worst commentators in any network.

don't much like madden either but it's always fun to see people do imitations of him.
