Movie: The Hidden Half, 2001
I just saw this Iranian movie. Five stars! It's about a modest housewife's revelation to her husband of her radical political activity and "affair" with a married man during her university days in 1978-1979. It's obviously referring to today's political and cultural restrictions but it has a very human story. And how many movies are told from a modern Muslim woman's point of view? I'm not Iranian and wanted to know what you guys think of it and am wondering if there are references that I didn't catch. I was curious about the carpet that Mrs. Shafiee was giving to the heroine. What was it's significance?
