Zeit - LOL you really are not disagreeing w/ me! I was referring to those who are single and *want* to change their status, not every single single haha. I totally respect the singles that want to stay single. (H)

As far as the metros go - please remember this - walk on the left, stand on the right, haha! And do remember to visit the home of our nation's great president so you can pay your respects. ;)

hahaha u lot are hilarious ! ok am living in DC now yikes its been a bit manic sorting my cell fone, life, living arrangements etc out but all in all its going swimmingly so far - i will be in touch with everyone over the next couple of weeks isA THANKS FOR THE TIPS :D i just have to sort which work i want to do out, have had interesting offers but :S not sure whats the best yet - am still jet lagged... ps Meech my single status is DEF the way i want to keep it for a loooong time so i have to disagree with ya there !! have met amazing ppl so far at a couple of iftars, living on M Street is nice but jjeeeezzz i cant get out of the area = no metros its dire... i spent ages trying to work out how to get downtown - have finally figured it out but my god it was painful :S so im going to flat hunt further this week isa :) anyone got any studios near a metro lemme know hehe!!

Habiba: Which area in DC will you be staying? oh n welcome to DC ;), if there's anything you need feel free to hit me up :) hmm no clue what sorta info ur lookin for? Malls being the common chica denominator *ducks to avoid being pulverized* um potomac mills / leesburg outlet / anne arundel mills r the cheap/huge/warehouse/outlet kind. Georgetown and tysons r relatively upscale
u can look up halal restaurants @ zabihah.com
(northern va / dc / some md areas)
probably know about wmata.com (the subway site can look up subway /bus routes from it)

M Street, Wisconsin Ave is a very nice area and more then 90 % people are there for work or studies from others parts of USA and from all over the world.

Zeit - not until April, but if you're going to be in DC for a year, then it should work, no? I hope you end up liking DC more than Sabih - but if all else, you're less than 4 hours away from NYC! :)
