Clipps whoppin Lakers wud most def be great !!!! I'm sure Mobley wud love that challenge against Kobe ....
i remember that game!!! it was great. another one i wont forget is the first time kobe dropped 51 (his career high at the time) back in 2000 vs. GS. it was supposed to be his night, but jamison had his 2nd straight 50pt game and beat the lakers w/shaq. all kobe had to say was it was 'hurtfull'.
personally, i want the lakers to win - just so they beat beat by the clippers. that would awesome - like the little brother kicking the tutti out of his older bossy big bro for all the yrs of torment.
back to the kobe bashing...how can greg anthony and marc jackson even mention him with jordon. i understand 81pts is a great feat, but this is in an era where you can't even body up on a player. if jordan in his prime played in a defensive era like we have today, for sure he woulda dropped 80 a few times. also, even with this weak D, kobe still manages to shoot 45% (he only got that avg up in march - it was 43% prior to that); whereas jordan had a career avg of 50% (when he avg'd 37 and 35 ppg in his career, he shot 48 and 54% respectively. he avg'd 30 like 10 times, along with 6 and 6 avg in rbds and assists. its no contest.
lastly, he brought greatness in scrubs like kerr, paxson, weddington, purdue, hodges, armstrong, grant, man i can keep going. that's a testement to greatness...
Well the lakers pulled one out last night.... as much as i wanted phx to win... the lakers did a good job overall. even though nash was CLEARLY outside the lane.... none the less kobe had a nasty dunk which killed the morale of the suns...... this is going 7 games
Now ppl don't start saying kobe for MVP based on this one game....Nash is still my MVP.... cuz it's not a game or two.... it's the whole package
Salam bro. You da man. Exactly, how is Kobe better than Mike if he is not even better than Lebron? Lebron is light years ahead of his own age and makes everyone around him better.
Now if Lebron keeps going like this, and starts winning championships, then we can have a legitimate debate of "Mike vs. The Next Best Thing." Until then, it is to early to tell, but the kid has his head on straight, is humble, and plays with his own distinct style.
Wade is nice too. He is also way better at his age than Kobe was. You can't teach defense and Wade has a killer instinct for it.
I remember Alan Houston dropping 51 on Kobe and he was 18 for 29. The man simply torched Kobe in LA! It was a game that I will not forget. Kobe scored 40 and he was 14 for 31, without Shaq in the lineup.

LeBron is the MVP. Cleveland is slop without him.
Despite the argument I make for Nash, the other players
LeBron - excellent statistical season and carried the team but in the pitiful Eastern conference which still sucks (See teams 5-8 in the playoffs).
Kobe - scored 36 ppg, and carried a team that had no business being in the playoffs this season. He would be a close second on the MVP list.
Billups - same team from last season - so chemistry is there. Also, he played with 3 other all stars and a potential defensive player of the year. Put Billups on Phoenix and Nash on the Pistons - are you kidding me - PHX is not even a playoff team.
Dirk - great season but lost costly games in the last month of the season to obtain #1 spot in the West.
D-Wade - fell asleep the last 20% of the season. Against the Pistons, Mavs, Spurs and Phoenix - they won a total of 2 games. MVP - YEAH RIGHT? Step up D-Wade of you thinking MVP.
And there you have it - STEVE NASH - MVP. Although, I think the media darlings will pick Kobe or LeBron.
Lebran, Kobe, Dirk etc are all great players no doubt.... but a true mvp steps up to the plate....and Nash IS doing it in his mid 30s
Lebron's numbers and playing style, flat out, put Kobe's game to shame. Kobe's ring days are behind him since Shaq has left and an MVP is out of the question. Then again, the league is so weak, you just never know.
The sad thing is that Lebron and Wade are just going to keep on getting better, while this is Kobe at his peak.
Aside from Lebron, I think it should be Billups. He is the heart and soul of the Pistons. As for Nash, he has been injured on and off, so count him out. MVP means who is valued to their team the most in the league. Kobe is no MVP until he shows he can play team ball.

my vote would then go as follows - 2nd - James; 3rd - Dirk; 4th - Brand; 5th - Billups...
